Name: SAN SALVADOR C-MMXVI
Year: 2016
Client: private
Location: San Salvador
Type: Culture
The project performed pro-bono in collaboration with Friar Giuseppe Contran of the Franciscan order, it is to build a small prayer room for a local community in the outskirts of San Salvador. The design of the church follows the dimensional constraints of the slope on which it stands, it has a main façade with three arches overlooking the valley and two side walls where there is the entrance. The building criteria follow economic efficiency, walls in cable concrete blocks and lightweight metal roof are used. Due to the difficult terrain, a system was designed that allows foundations of differential settlements in the time and opportunity to vent rain water coming down from the hill behind.
I have to thank Father Giuseppe Contran for its continued good work in those places in the hope of contributing to the formation of a place of worship and the protection of local communities.

The project performed pro-bono in collaboration with Friar Giuseppe Contran of the Franciscan order, it is to build a small prayer room for a local community in the outskirts of San Salvador. The design of the church follows the dimensional constraints of the slope on which it stands, has a main façade with three arches overlooking the valley and two side walls where there is the entrance. The building criteria follow economic efficiency, wall hangings in cable concrete blocks and lightweight metal roof corrugated metal warping of the main iron. Given the difficult terrain it was designed a system that allows foundations of differential settlements in the time and opportunity to vent rain water coming down from the hill behind.
I have to thank Father Giuseppe Contran for its continued good work in those places in the hope of contributing to the formation of a place of worship and the protection of local communities.
